Lo: To analyse texts using the correct terminology 

Subject Position 
-Our subject position is everything that goes to make up what we are and where we fit in the world. 
-My subject position is a female, 13 years old, white, straight, lives in Bodmin/Cornwall, play hockey.


This magazine cover is for people who are into fashion, makeup and models, 
but people who aren't into them sort of stuff it wont appeal to them and they will find it boring. 









Denotation- The dictionary definition 
Connotation- The deeper meaning, what we associate with the word. 
e.g 
Rose- denotation 
love, passion, romance, death - connotation 

1- Denote- gun 
Connote- injury, death, danger, violence, criminals, murder, police 
2. Denote- clown 
Connote-  Circus, entertainment, killer, horror, funny 
3. Denote- Thor
 Connote- actor, powerful, superhero, avengers, lightening, hammer, death, force 

This film poster portrays horror because in the picture it has a shadow of a girl hanging herself on an old tree that looks dead. This shows that there is death and violence in this movie as the dead leaves lying on the ground surgests that it is coming into winter making the cover act cold. How the house is positioned in the background with fog around it makes it look haunted and abandoned, also how the girl is hanging in the shadow makes us feel like she was possessed.

Wednesday 6th of October  Lo: To analyse a media text using media language Camerawork -The camera shot is a medium long shot  -I think they have chosen this camera shot to hook more people into watching the film, as he is wearing different style of clothes then he what he normally wears. Also to capture more detail like facial expressions, him holding a gun in his hand, holster, shadows and more. If they had did a mid shot or a close up you wouldn't seen much of the detail such as the: holster, gun and style of clothing.  Mise-en-scene -The clothing in the poster gives us the feeling of him being a hitman as he is wearing casual clothes, with black gloves which could surgests that he doesn't want to leave any evidence behind like some sort of spy.
